American Revolution

Posted by despertaferro on 18 Apr 2014, 13:36

Hi everybody, these are some reinforcements for my AWI armies.

On the revolutionary side, the 3rd New York Line Regiment and the Captain John Lamb’s New York Artillery Company.

British forces are 70th Regiment of Foot (including a Grenadier Company) and Royal Artillery.

Figures are a mega mix of Airfix, Revell, Italeri, A Call to Arms, Imex and conversions. The British gun is from Hat’s Prussian Artillery set. Imex guns are nice but very small and I thought that my Redcoats should be able to field something more impressive.

If this weekend I have time to take some pictures of the two full armies (so far…) displayed altogether, I’ll post them here as well.

Hope you like them and many thanks for stopping by.

Attacking the British outpost. Here you can have a better idea of how it works my system of building a scene base by base. Of course is not as good as a diorama but the good thing is that I can change it as many times I want.

I'm working on 18th century Prussians and you've shown me how it should be done with these figures! :-D

Hi friends, thank you very much for visiting my post.

As I promised, here you can see how my AWI armies look at this moment. I’m planning to make them bigger but would take some time… :-D
