How to make round tent

Hello friends...I have made a tutorial on how to scratch build a round tent...Maybe not a perfect one but let me give a try...
First we need some empty roll of toilet paper...Like this
Second what you do is cut it into two half...Like this...
Than you make a triangle shape open for open of tent...Like this...
Than you use a white sticky paper(sticky note)
to cover the cylinder base of tent...Like this...
And finally you make a dome from sticky paper to make tent roof...Like this...

And there you go a camp...

Yip! Emperor,I like good ideas, and nice projects that cost next to nothing to make. Imagination is the greatest key, for any success. I like the way you dressed up the table for display too. Are you going to paint your tents and string them to ground pegs on a simple base? They would indeed look ,Ace if you did.

This topic kindly reminded me when I would make Wigwams out of paper for the make believe red Indian toy figures that I never had. Memories are wonderful at times. BB

Well I don't know BB since I want the white...I only could add some few things extra...Can you just explain to me what should I paint?

If that is what you want, white,or off white is fine. I have reasoned for you to want to encourage others to make such things in Tutorials,which are very good projects,that they the unknown who view this topic might well wish to paint their tents for whatever period of history they infact choose. So in order to perhaps help you,and them,I`ve placed a few examples of both real tents,and paper card models too.Pictures explain much more then words.

Geez I don't know BB.. Period I am working was a period in which people were poor...Ordinary peasants at beginning of XIX century etc etc...Also I don't know where to get all the material...This solution looked to me easy and cheap...But your is fine too, maybe better...

for that kind of tents.. the medieval types, well not to much material needed.

those tents are parts of the Battle of Zenta/Senta diorama?
thats a great job, a quiet impressive diorama on display

Yes, I never saw it in person, I were at Zenta, but there needed to be more than 10 people who wanted to visit it...The diorama was made by Dejan Rankov from Zenta's Modelius model club and president of Serbian modelars ...The diorama is placed into clock tower, it is 2x2 meters big, and it has more than 2000 figures...They did it in 2008 and figures are painted with enamel...When I was in hospital I asked Rankov to put pictures, so that I have a past time before surgery...You have it here http://www.krilapetrovgrada.org.rs/foru ... pic=2114.0

I knew those tents are familiar somehow,

I never saw it in person,

me neither,
but my mother-in-law took some pictures for me, two years ago on a holyday
now the diorama have a protective glass case on display, make very hard takin' photos...

@Greg Why don't you come in Zenta next year in 2015, we can meet there...You can come on competition or exhibition, it is usually in August, or September...
The battle is about Prince Eugen of Savoy...The man was considered a genius, won many major battles of Great Turkish war...Beside Zenta he won Battle of Belgrade and Battle of Petrovaradin...It is said that he dug up tunnels under Belgrade, some even say that those tunnels connected Belgrade and Vienna...
