Another update with the first painted test copies of one of my latest works, a new miniset of sitting legionaries...

I placed the figures on the simple bleachers of an hypotetical arena, in future perhaps i will use these figures also for other sceneries like a tavern and a canteen barrack of a "Castrum" fortification.

Thank you my friend! ;-)
That's a cool idea!
I could convert my Brian's figure into a snack seller peddler, just modifying the hat and replacing brush and bucket with a snack box...

And like in the movie he would ask if someone wants "Larks' tongues. Wrens' livers. Chaffinch brains. Jaguars' earlobes. Wolf nipple chips. Get 'em while they're hot. They're lovely. Dromedary pretzels, only half a denar. Tuscany fried bats."

I just have a slight doubt about "Tuscany fried bats"...
Here in Tuscany, where I live, we eat most anything  but I've never heard about such curious delicatessen.
Maybe it was one of the lost recipes of our Etruscan ancestors. :xd:

Well, sorry sir... but I'm afraid at the moment I haven't got any... :eh: However Haruspices and Oracles ensured me that someone Columbus is "about" to bring such stuff from overseas! :winky:
I ordered some supplies, but it may take a little while, they said... for sunflower seeds, popcorn and chilly or tomato snacks we must wait some 1500 years! :xd:

Finally some new legionaries figures... :-D
Quite a long time passed since the last update on this thread, a long pause from this project, busy doing many other works... and as usual never enough time to post updates and comments on the forum. :(
In fact now I have some other figures and accessories almost ready, so some other news are coming soon! ;-)

Actually these were supposed to be figures sculpted on request for a friend, but I like the subjects, perfect for my Roman camp series... and I wanted them for myself too. :winky:
So I decided to make the molds and release them... at the moment only as "home made" castings on request, but I will add some more figures... and I'm thinking that perhaps it could become another new complete set, worth to be produced in series and released during 2017.

Wow, they look great! A whole series of such figures really would be nice. They could be used for camp life, but also for sieges.

Its all fantastic work again and exactly those figures that I can use for my camps, sieges, ancient cities, fortresses and boats are created again and again by you.

Here the first test castings painted.

I still have to add the dolabra (pickaxe) to the two digging figures, the mold of dolabra will be ready in a couple of days.
In the next days I will also update my website galleries and pricelist with these new releases. ;-)

At the moment these figures are already available, but just as home made castings on request... therefore a bit expensive and not available in large quantities (I can spend just a little time casting figures, sculpting of new figures have the priority).

However, as announced, I will add some more poses to make one or two complete sets, and produce them in series during 2017.
So, probably within next summer they will be released also as series production at cheaper prices.
