A charge!

Posted by Susofrick on 26 Jan 2015, 11:04

Looked into the hobbyroom and found another box of teabags. You think! :-D

Image

Nope, no teabags here either! It's my Napoleonic French Imperial Guard Cavalry. Never got the time to paint some officers (yup, was goin to use the Saxon Cuirassiers). The Chasseurs, the Grenadiers (not that many), the Dragoons, the Dutch Lancers and the Polish Lancers (not that many).

But who are they charging? The Brunswickers off course! Could have made it more hysterically correct, but this will have to do. But something must have happened to the Frenchies on the way! Only five left! And the blackies are attacking! My oh my!

That's quite a well hidden stash of troops Gunnar, and they certainly make a nice display.
Now with your own,"My oh my",on the Diorama set up. 30 to 1 ain`t good odds.
So It looks as if the Brunswickers will certainly win the day.Or are there perhaps more French still having their well earned Tea Break in another box ? Thanks for sharing & for giving me a Look See! BB

There can be more boxes arriving somewhere on this forum in the future! :-D My old eyes and shakey hands don't let me paint too much per session. So maybe I do more scenes. :-D

More teabagboxes! Oh, what a lot of tea I've must been drinking! :coffee: :couchbeer:

Here is the French 1st Cavalry Division. Consisting of Hussars, Chausseurs and Lancers.

Image

Here is the French III Cavalry Corps. Consisting of Carabiniers.

And here is some infantry! The 9th Brigade under Pack! 1st Foot, 42nd Foot, 44th Foot and 92nd Foot. Realized that there was no way I was going to build a squre with all these figures on my quite small base. We can say that the enemy cavalry hit them pretty hard.

Yup! Great fun! :-D Probably stupid enough to try to make a square too. While resting my hands from the painting work. Or a French line! :-D More to come!

Luckily there are different kinds of tea: black tea, green tea, yellow tea, orange tea.
What can we expect more? :joker:
