Bersaglieri

Hi guys

Thought I'd post some more of my Crimean range by Strelets (either love 'em or hate 'em). This set was listed on the box as Sardinians although what they depict is the elite Bersaglieri. Note really painted black uniforms before, so to make it look more like fabric, I tried a few black mixes of various shades which ended up just looking very much like black anyway! :?

I like these figures and they were easy to paint. They also make for a nice colour contrast to the other Crimean War participants (French blue, British red, Russian green, etc).

My suspicion is that people who hate Strelets have never painted them and seen their true strengths.

Only love here. You Bersaglieri turned out great.

Wonderful! And I agree that Strelets figure are very often better than many are thinking. I hope that Strelets keep producing his miniatures. It doesn´t look better in Eastern Ukraine in these days where they are sitting quite near by the conflict.

Yes Santi, my friend. I've also been thinking of how the situation is affecting Strelets over in Ukraine. They are too close to it. We can only hope sanity prevails and it all works out peacefully. :(

excellent work !!
again, we can see that Strelets figures are good !
(Even if the sculpt is not always at the high standard, they have a sort a magic sense of original poses ... that's what I think ...)
