Crows (birds) diorama

Posted by Phersu on 21 Feb 2015, 20:30

A little diorama just for the birds I made the last summer...
The same crows I placed on the battlefield full with Roman and Gauls casualties, but in a more natural peaceful scenery! ;-)

Congratulations Phersu,I like everything about this well thought out theme, and I can well imagine now,
" For dessert after the main course, "Romans," they are Pulling ,and indeed Stretching up and out the Fattest Juiciest Worms from the ground. Nice Grub for Birds." Great little Scene. Love It. BB

Cheers,

Nothing special, just the simple quick basic tree making: a dried branch of Thyme plant, common cheap commercial fluff, and home made green sand... ;-)

Probably the nice effect come from the various colors shading and various size of the home made sand, which I use to do with crushed tuff stone... :winky:
But the best realistic part (modestly) in my opinion are the small plants and bushes made with seaweeds...

A new excellent way I recently discovered thank to a hint of a very skillful and dear friend of mine! :notworthy:
I was so enthusiast that I made a tutorial this amazing trick of the seaweeds (there is also the "how to" about the basic trees) on my website:

This is a selection of examples, at the link you can see the same image and some others at higher resolution, with all the details clearly visible... ;-)
