Merry Christmas!

Posted by Susofrick on 16 Dec 2015, 09:11

or "Who is the real Santa?"

Dad in this Medieval family went out to buy a newspaper. As every Christmas Santa showed up while dad was away. But this year there came a second Santa!

Nice idea! But actually, I'd like to see the both Santas to fight it out: who is the real one? This is the Middle Ages, isn't it, when people had a relaxed stance towards violence.

But if they fight, Santa won't come!

No. There's something wrong there isn't there? I'll have to think about this for a while.

Anyway, lovely little festive dio and really quite topical. It inspired me to pour myself a horn of mead, Merry Christmas.

For the record, the real Santa is the one with the most boxes of 1/72 figures in his sack.

At this time of the year i have the Knack at Munching and Humming,"Tomte,Tomte,Tomte ,Tom__"

( i must say I admire those Dog`s Greatly Gunnar. )

As to your question there`s got to be more to it than meets the eye.

I`mmmmm, a ginger star. I love the fresh smell of pepparkakor.

They are all quite busy, but a question springs to mind." Who is the real Santa?"___ "Gunnar knows." They all chuckled. Than one whispered," The one with the Newspaper." They all chuckled again.
I guess It`s a colorful Swedish Mystery,and a Nice One.

Gunnar,since Daddy`s Home coming.
i hope there are a few books in the sack for that empty bookcase. Happy Hol`s BB

Santa gives out the presents. Jolly Good. However he is the second Santa to arrive. That most certainly makes him the Tomte Santa.( Tomtenisse ) So the first Santa is the real Santa, and like the whisper revealed, the one with the newspaper. BB

Thanks for the comments! They didn't fight it out, they played poker and the one at the door lost and was revealed to be dad. The other one didn't have any gifts, but a lot of good stories! Books? Oh my! Have a lot of 'em, but they are a bit big. But you are right, Paul! An empty shelf/case/whatever isn't nice. Have to do something about it the next time. And that will be after Christmas, figures are almost ready.

Gunnar, I research lots of stuff on a daily basis,to earn a crust, and the good thing about your tiny scene, and the Question,is it so inspired me to go walk about in other area`s. In doing so i gained lots of wonderful info on Medieval Swedish Folklore, and that of other Scandinavian countries.
Enough stuff perhaps to spin about in one of my tiny tall tales. So thanks Buddy.
:read: "This is good BB."___________ One has to wonder who is the real Book Worm here?
By the way, your little scene is a Tiny Gem! Happy Holiday. BB

Thanks everybody! And for those that wonder, it is Dad at the door. The real Santa is sitting telling stories. Sorry, Paul! The next time the shelf/bookcase won't be empty.
