"All quite on the southern front"...ACW Coastal Defense

Posted by Michel on 23 Dec 2015, 16:40

You´ve heard nothing from me for a long time...
Now I´m back and I´ll show you my Confederate Coastal defence emplacement.
The Brooke Rifle is from verlinden and the figures are from Germania-Figuren and Hecker&Goros...
Painted with acrylics...
Enjoy...

A very very nice piece of work indeed! From composition, to painting, research to choice of figures, photography to groundwork - it's all been meticulously carried out! Has been well worth the wait Michel. Would love a close-up of the artillery piece!
Looking with the most critical of eye i found only one thing that could have been improved! The front right foreleg of the general's horse has a nasty mould line running down the front!

Excellent paint job on the figures. I love the scenery and accessories. Very lifelike scene of poses and figures interacting in a convincing, human fashion.
