My next post is "Duel in the Steppe". There are two figures on the base - Zaporozhian cossack attacks Turkish cavalryman.

I hope you enjoy! :-)

WOOOOW ! What a beautiful work of art! Very nicely chosen figures and from what i can see on the limited size of my mobile phone screen the painting appears to be stupendous!
Love the interaction between the figures even though the positioning of the cossack horse's legs doesn't convince me entirely....besides the dubious animation weren't cossack horses supposed to be small?
Ps/ Would love to see bigger and better photos that would do full justice to your beautiful brushwork

Thanks for your comment! Cossacks had many different horses, because they captured many animals by numerous rides. These Polish, Arab, Hungarian, Tartars and other breeds.

Excellent painting mate, I really like the softness ( the only word I can think of ) of the colours you have achieved.

It's light conversion figures from Zvezda's kits "Zaporozhian cossacks" and "Turkish cavalry".
Cossack: Horse from Zvezda's "Rassian noble cavalry". I sculpted the cap and gun behind back.
Turkish: I change cavalryman's head to drummer's head and added feather. And I made some changes in figure's pose.
