Truly epic diorama. Great effort, and a skill set to match has yielded a masterpiece. Top notch painting and base work. The eyes dance round the display....from the waves crashing on the shore to weapons crashing against shields.....a pleasure to behold.
Bill.
PS: The Persians plummeting to the waves below is my favorite.

It is never too late to let you know how great this diorama is!
A diorama based on a movie!
The colors of the Persians are great, the falling men are surprisingly good and of course the waves in the sea is done excellent.
The rocks look great too, though these could use a little more of a geological one-direction structure to my honest opinion.

One question: Why did you use Assyrians from 300 years before Thermopylae when so many nice Persians of this battle, like in the movie, are on the market?

Did I miss the movie scene showing the neo-Assyrian Persian auxiliaries or was it just because the figures you painted were already in reach at your home?

Anyway: Well done!

By the way: I bought the 300 movie last week for 1 euro in the charity shop to watch it again after I spotted your great piece of work.

Thank you Mr. Cryns for your kind words, you are right about Assyrians , they were at my range, and i thought that it is the right time to use them, i find that in Persian army was many Assyrians, ok they haven't been showed in the movie... cheers
