1/72 Zvezda. Polish Wind Hussars with some conversions.

Posted by Eugenij on 09 Feb 2016, 10:50

Hi, friends!

I post my old work. It was done only 5 years ago. I didn't post it somewhere, and I think these Hussars may be interesting for you.

Zvezda's hussars are the best one. Even so, in my mind this kit has many lacks. At first Hussars have only one wing. It isn't historical wrong, but their appearnce is spoiled.. I think Zvezda would give possibity to make hassars with one or two wings. I corrected this lack. Ididn't like Zvezda's horses. They are very rough and they haven't gracefulness. Though Zvezda made trappings very well. I give to my hussars wonderful horses from different Italeri kits (for example, English army of 100 year war and Red Lancers). It was long and painstaking work to reestablish opulent hussar trappings on the Italeri's horses. Also, I changed plastic pikes by self-maded pikes from copper wire.

Hussar officer was conveted from hussar with sabre, because i didn't like Zvezda's officer by reason of featureless pose.
pleasant viewing! :-)

Wow! You made me look, just look, at my box in the hobbyroom. I did not take it down to paint the figures. Great work! And good idea to swap horses!
