Haven't seen the good ole Esci (now Italeri) "Iwo Jima Marines" for quite a while.
I always feel a we bit nostalgic when I look back at Escis hard plastic sets & Diorama boxes of the 70's & 80's.

Really like how you brought all those Zvezda figures to life!
Already looking forward to see more of your work.

And of course: Welcome to the forum!

Thank you Dicker Thomas and Erich von Manstein for your nice words, I agree with you, there was something really nice about the old Esci figures, when they first came out they just more advanced then the airfix figures at the time.

Not quite, about ten miles from there in Tavistock is where I live, famous for being the birth place of local boy Sir Francis Drake, and in AD 997 the Vikings paid a visit, and destroyed the town and Abbey, and fun was had by all!!

And for those interested in WW2 History, Tavistock, is where the US 29th Infantry Division was Head Quartered during WW2

Too bad that you're not located at "Baskerville Hall"/Brook Manor House in Buckfastleigh, presumed home of Sir Hugo Baskerville, his descendants and a gigantic hound from hell.
Would've been very interesting to hear the latest scary stories from Devonshire... . :affraid: :-D

This is awesome. I wanted to make "Iwo Jima flag raisers" for some time now.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt to put some grass on vignette with gebirgsjäger. It's not critic, just a suggestion ;-)

And welcome to the forum :occasion:
