Valor et discipline! My French napoleonic army (the end)

Posted by Mr. Andrea on 27 Feb 2016, 23:59

I got the bottom of the box. Voltigeurs and grenadiers are painted, not as good as the fusiliers, but I like them too. I count 100 nappies on my desk, and a foot artillery peeking out from behind the corner. Now the question is: what movie I was watching during my last brush strokes?

Congratulations for getting to the end of the box! Great figures - almost certainly the best French nappies in Togo

Film? Don't know... :eh:

I would recommend the film Barry Lyndon, directed by Stanley Kubrick. It's not a Nappy film, but close to that era. And it's good.

I have this box on my table but was it does not include a flag figure. I was hoping the Hat's promised 1808 Command figures box would be released soon so I could start on this project. Looks like you used the entire box to make one battalion. I was going to combine the command box and make four battalions.

I am currently working on the Hat Light Infantry, using the various boxes. I have a WIP going in that forum if you want to have some light troops to go with your line battalion.

The movie is a Great black and white movie. A hint:

"Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people! Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness. Soldiers! in the name of democracy, let us all unite!"

Dear Mr. Andrea,

I still want to tell you how much I admire both the painting of your figures and the attention you payed to the bases. Sufficient for gaming on the highest esthetic standards! My compliments.
