1/87 Taucher Hinrichs (Artmaster/modification) with diver.

This is an older model. I modified the boat from the waterline 80.135 Artitec / Artmaster's Verkershboot.
The crew is Preiser's and the deep sea diver is a modified Artmaster with Preiser head and repositioning by me. The trickiest part was the air pump. I modeled it after downloaded plans.

Another fine boat with crew, another nice scene! Have you considered to take pictures of your models not with a neutral background, but with some maritime setting? I think this could look great, given the realistic style of your work.

Another great model. I like those old diving suits and helmets. It looks like you use airbrush for parts of the boat and possibly the human figures too. Is that right?

Dear sberry the idea is wonderfull.
Dear Mr. Cryns I paint the models with airbrush as much as possible. I use paintbrushes for washes and drybrushing. For the figures I start airbrushing overall with a beige enamel as a primer. Then I use only paintbrushes. I use oils for skin. I use enamels for clothing, oil washes and drybrushing with mixture of original enamel colour with white or yellow oil. When satisfied, I apply a dullcoat varnish with airbrush. The final stage is to drybrush the metal colours.

your work is great , but I would think some weathering and signs of wear would make your models more realistic and alive like

I appreciate your comment. I describe my models rather highlighted than weathered and the reason is that I am afraid to overcome the thin line that makes the model phony. I'll remember your advice in my next model.
