As soon as I saw this I was reminded of this:
https://www.khanacademy.org/partner-content/british-museum/africa1/ancient-egypt-bm/a/paintings-from-the-tomb-chapel-of-nebamunI was really blown away by how beautiful this scene is when I saw it in the British Museum, the online pic really doesn't do it justice.
Your dio is every bit as beautiful but it's in 3D, wonderful stuff.
The modelling is fantastic. The birds in the act of taking off give a real animation and drama to the scene, I can almost hear the commotion. The palm tree, especially the bark, is incredibly good and the papyrus is very authentic. And are those fish I can see under the water near the bow of the boat.
The one minor disappointment was when I saw the punt pole lying on the deck and realised the boat wasn't propelled by an ancient Egyptian electric motor. Only joking, I really can't fault this, Lovely scene, it feels good just to look at it.
