Fantastic realism as always and a lovely composition to boot. The lighting, the water and the subject matter trick you into thinking that this is real. That in my opinion is genius.

Just great! The water is totally realistic. The boat and the figures are painted very beautiful. The coastal strip looks like real! :yeah:

A real masterpiece indeed Entrauner!
And a very dirty boat too!

It is soo good you are telling a story in this dio: it all got stuck in the propellor and now the poor guys have to solve it.

I am curious how big the whole diorama is.
And where this is situated: since rocks and watercolor looks like Mediterranean, its probably not a Donau patrol boat. Croatian coast?

@mrCryns, thank you very mch.

I don't have the dio in front of me right now, but it is about 30cmx20cm and it shows austrian hungarian navy along the dalmatian coast ar. 1910 - at that time it was part to the KuK empire.

maybe not dirty but worn. you have to bare in mind sea water is very aggressiv and causes a lot of destruction on boats. plus they had to shovel around with lots of coal etc....

Eric, another masterpiece!
I don't know how you made this water so realistic, are you sure this is a vignette and not a real photo?
Awesome work, i wish i had your skills..

Much like many of my Loco`s there is no smoke or steam,and one cannot do everything,and such things are best left for others to imagine. I therefore make no complaint,and i find this scene quite Magical. Yes Indeed. BB
