It will be medieval war scene (some knight and foot soldiers) or 30 years war (some figures in addition to bavarian officer (figure for last duel)..

I wanted to do some pikemen. So if you had the same idea, we should talk about the details.

Unfortunately, i'm very bad photographer :(

Your only photography problem is TOO LITTLE DEPTH OF FOCUS.
Two tips to improve your own photography skills before you send it to your friend.

1) USE DAYLIGHT
Go out in the open Russian skye. Cloudy skye is the best and your country has lots of it I think! :-D but sunshine will work as well as long as you place your work in a shadow. Otherwise, when in the bright sun, you get very hard black shadows on part of your models.
Modern camera's automatically react to more light and close their diafragma to a smaller hole. This small hole gives more depth of focus so your masterpieces in front and the ones in the back get more sharpness.
If your camera has a manual diafragma function, just make the number as high as possible. I always try to use diafragma 8 or higher but 5.6 will do if thats the most you have.

2) TAKE MORE DISTANCE
The more distance you take from your object, the better the depth focus of your group of figures will get.
Distance also means your image is too wide.
Solve this by using the highest number of pixels your camera has and cut away the excessive space with your computer.
Or, if your camera has a zoom lens, zoom in and try to focus again.

And if you don't like all of this information, just go on as a painter since thats your master skill and your passion and forget these technical lessons again.

The TYW is something I also play with. Will be nice to see some more of these. Have we something from later 19th century? I could add a coffeedrinker.

The remarkable work of Eugene :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
And the composition and coloring! Painting - especially good.
But I believe that working with the grass and working with the base - not completed yet ..

@Eugenij, wonderfully painted figures on excellent base.

@Mr.Cryns - thanks for the tips about taking photos. I knew daylight is the best but I would surely try to take advice about distance.

Alex, i agree with you.. Grass leaves to be desired. Now it isn't realistic enough. Some days ago i picked different mosses. :-) And i'll try to improve grass appearance.
Wide using of plastic grass by Noch wasn't the best idea....

"Grass has penetrated into our consciousness!" :joker: :winky:
The fact that the "grass on the ground" - this is more a cliché than reality. In reality, there are more broad leaves of all plants than actually grass. Thus, it is easy not to fix anything changing - just to fill the different leaves.
