Figures were originally from ESCI and I can see that you have made some very nice conversions. Agree with Eugenij, but maybe you don't have them. The regiment was the 24th. Both Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. Good dio!

Excellent work again!

This is the point of view of the Zulus! Maybe he makes a point of view from the British. What will we see then? Thousands of Zulus!

A really imaginative use of the figures making for a terrific diorama. I like the building with its veranda, the water cart, Rev. Smith and so many other little touches as well. I'd only just add to others that we'd like to maybe see a Zulu or two, but who's complaining because this is great!

I wish more manufacturers would make Zulu`s , there are still no unmarried Zulu`s (the bulk of the army in 1879) made by any one, and no one makes any in the many outfits of the Zulu regiments, there is both a real need and pent up demand for more Zulu warriors.

Superb diorama Cpt. Morris. Is Rorke's Drift for Brits a bit like The Alamo is for us Yanks?

Also, how can we tell the difference between a married and an unmarried Zulu warrior?

Married guys look hen pecked........seriously, married Zulu`s have the head ring, unmarried guys dont, unmarried Zulu`s were not allowed to marry or have sex until they had "washed" their spears (in an enemies blood) so they were keen to fight, the bulk of the army in 1879 was unmarried......and very frustrated :-)

Fantastic small scale scene of that famous rumble at Rorkes Drift. The painting is to a very high standard as is the whole scratch-build.
:read: " Yes indeed."__________ As for Zulus married or otherwise one paints what is available and in this there is little choice. The same applies for the soldiers involved in the fighting .
Hat Industries have produced a good looking range of figures although they are not on my shopping list. :read: " That Rubber is just the Pits!"____________ "I agree Book Worm."

Along with the comments, this has in fact really encouraged me,at a time when i need it.
So many thanks for sharing this tiny topic. :-D BB
