my latest napoleonic british infantry these are from emhar really nice figures but very hard work, the detail is really fine and you can easily swamp the detail, but they do make a really nice set i have the mounted and foot officer and drummer to complete, lovely figures but they do take time hope you like them.

You've done a really fine job with these figures. I painted some Italeri versions recently and I found them tricky enough for me and, if anything, these slender Emhars are even more so. Well done.
Thanks bb they are hard work but do make a nice set I won't be in a rush to do any more I've a ton of plastic to paint up but I'm getting tempted by 28 mm metals

Great job! I've got several boxes of Hat peninsular British cued up on my painting table. Don't think I'll be able to get the same level of detail as yours. Please post pics of the command stand soon. Did you convert any figures into flag bearers? I see that there are two color sergeants in the set.
Yes there are two sergeants in the set I have finished them but they need basing that's a good idea I may look to convert one into a standard bearer most 1/72sets don't have flags and that's annoying because some will give you 4 or more officers
It looks like you have these mounted for wargaming. 2 skirmish stands, 9 stands of infantry and 1 promised command stand so I guessing this is a 10 company battalion of light infantry (though unfortunately this set does not include any figures for the flank companies)? If so, what rules do you use?
Hi davbenbak I don't do wargaming I did when I was younger but that's a long time ago,I just enjoy painting and collecting much to my wife's dismay she thinks my soldiers are clutter and I should sell them all maybe one day I might give gaming another go if I could find a local club but for now I'll just keep painting and looking at all the fine painters on here great site and great people
Well done on the painting. Looks Great. The ones I bought are just sitting in the Collection. The detail I could not see good enough to paint so I admire anyone that can. I can remember blucher1815red saying that they are hard work to paint. BB
Hi mate I used a spray primer but if I did anymore which I probably will I will use the vallejo surface primer the spray just went on too thick and the surface primer brushes on really well the detail is there but it's very fine I also primed in red with these so the tunics didn't need painting I normally prime in white hope this helps your figures are excellent anyway but these just need a little more patience if you need anymore help just let me no I could give you my email or some other way of contact good look I look forward to the finished figures
Great paintjob Iron Duke ! This is one of the periods that always frightens me because of the complex uniforms with al those straps etc. But looking at these fantastic painted figures i'm getting tempted...
Just wanted to let you know I've started on this set and have gone back several times to reference your figures. I've borrowed from a Hat set for flankers and a flag bearer. You can see the comparison in a WIP I'm posting. Just noticed that the drummer for this set has no livery lace on his sleeves. I'm painting them up as the 50th West Kent or "Fighting Half Hundred"
