IDF in the Sinai 1948

Posted by praga on 05 Apr 2016, 19:56

The armored M3 is from the brand ModelTrans. The M10 trailer is from MR Modellbau. The Jeep is a Dragon model. The figures are from various manufacturers. The house is from the beautiful Airfix Desert Outpost Kit - unfortunately get only very rarely. The palms got natural tribes which I have collected in my garden. Everything built, painted and weathered by me. All in scale 1:72

Yes that`s mine.
Well done!
I like the scene with the sitting man a spoon in the hand and the two friends beside.
Furthermore with the MG on the Jeep you see that they use all they can get.
This is the very first time i see this Arfix Desert Outpost Kit. I don`t know (Beside the Kfz 222 and the Kübelwagen) that this house exist!
The arrangement of the vehicle , house, palms, figures is great.
Thanks for share.

Great diorama with lots of details!

To find the original kit from Airfix it will not be easy. But in the following you can find a replica, but it is not in hard plastic.

It is reissued in scale 1/32, why not in 1/76?

Very good question, Peter. I have the old Airfix set. I have bought it from Kai Fuhrmann years ago, But I really like to buy another one to build it.

And Jens: A pleasure to see this new work from you. Very good, again.
