Via Crucis. Jerusalem 33 AD.

Posted by Arekmaximus on 09 Apr 2016, 22:57

Hello,
I present my last diorama. Used figures from Phersu Miniatures (set Crucifixions); additionally from Nikolai and Strelets.

Luke 23:33-34;
... And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." And they cast lots to divide his garments....

Three days before the Resurrection:

Very dramatic scene. These painted figures with this sea green background remind me of 19th century Roman Catholic paintings in churches.

A beautiful diorama. What a play of colors - the red of the signs and clothing of soldiers. The bare metal of the armor. The blue cloth of kneeling woman and and and ..... Wow! :yeah:
However, the scene is depressing and you will be touched by it. The viewer think about it. Always surprising again, how many facets our hobby have!
