The Nappy Cavalry Project continues...?

What have been doing these past weeks? I'm back painting nappy cavalry again, that's what! Well, I just couldn't stay away from it for long. One manufacturer I didn't tackle last year was HaT - so I thought I'd have a go. I even 'pinned' a head for the first time, which I attached for the officer. They're not the most dynamic figures but still look pretty good with paint and varnish on them. Those sabres are looking rather long though, so I might have to trim them back a bit.

I've just started painting my first nappy cavalry and I have the impression it's gonna take ages for 12 horses. How long does it take you complete a 12-horse set?

Thanks Mr Andrea! It's nice to be missed.

As for painting, it probably takes me 2 - 3 weeks to do 12 figures. My tip is to totally neglect all my work commitments, friends and family. I get so much more done that way!

I am so happy to follow your nexg bunch of figures dealing with this period. Those HäT sets have a special place in my heart. The have expend the rang of plastic figures before so many other companies exits. So even if they are stiff the sre starting the golden age of our hobby. So good to see them painted from a masters hand.

Don't listen to P. You posted the right unit of light dragoons first of course.

What is great about these figures is you used different shades of blue, some even pretty light, and still you manage to give these coats an overall dark look and that's a skill that I admire a lot.
