The details aren't very deep on this kit but it's still one of my favorites from Revell. As usual the horses are stunning and the tack and furniture first-rate.

i myself never tire looking at Napoleonic figures,and these from the yesteryear of 1999,look fine and dandy like in their Dress Uniforms. Hat,actually got the horse furniture correct and proper too,a something other company`s continue to get wrong time and time again.

I hope you had a good weekend yourself and I have to make my compliments for your painting work.

I love the colors, lively and very realistic toned green coats, very good horse skin tone, excellent yellow-brown touch of the white sheepskins (I have one at home with exactly that color ) and many other nice details.

See how the light works: a half-bright sunlight does not make the shadows too hard and the white wood in the background is reflecting that light to all other sides on your figures.

I use Vallejo Iraq sand and brown wash over it for sheepskins

That was lucky shot. I usually avoid direct sunlight but sun early in the morning turned out better than I expected.

Lots of great Napoleonics. What would we all do without him, our great military inspirer? The Napoleonic uniforms were kept nearly unchanged for 100 years - and some of the tactics, too, which was bad advice as shown in the Crimea and American Civil War.
So yes, one can never have too much Napoleonics

Surprisingly, it was easier than I thought it would be. First I painted broad white outline of shabraque, then pink narrow line in the middle. A lot of work for sure, but it was fun.
