I took a break from nappy painting and fast-painted, fast-based a DBA Chartaginian army. Ancients still have lot of appeal; don't know what's more attractive, if nappy or ancients, Better not to compare.
By the way, also pictures are fast-taken. Apologies.







And if you ask where is the staff of Hannibal's ensign, I don't know. Forgotten back in Italy, lost in some box.

It's a nice app called Hipstamatic. It's great for outdoor pictures; for figures you gotta manage light perfectly. Which is not the case here

But why this hurry?

Still it is remarkable work. It triggers very good old nostalgic feelings inside of me, though I can see these are 21th century plastics. The quality of painting is hard to tell on these pics, but the colors look great and very realistic. Your lighting is very lively, crude, like it is 'gained', and that is exactly the 'old school seventies touch' that strikes me. Also the bases are very 'old school' chalkplaster-looking, reminding me of all those 28mm metal figures from the 1980's that we used to game with when I was a member of a WRG group here in the Netherlands.

More ancients please! And don't hurry, I will be patient.
