Dawson creek...

Posted by Pieter on 29 Apr 2016, 22:58

Hi guys:

I am currently in the proces of making a series of small dios to try out different things and work out some new ideas.

Todays post is inspired by the Fred Eaglesmith song called "Dawson creek" and the fine figures by Pegasus-hobbies...

Looks great!

Is that a piece of rock you used as a base?

Hi Peter.

Thanks for your comment!

The base is made out of a small circular mdf panel approx. 6 mm thick...
I cut away some of the edges to suggest the waterline.
I than simply peeled some of the layers to give it some variation in height.
Furthermore added some plaster, rubble and paint etc.
That is a real piece of rock I used landscaping...

Greetings Pieter

What a disappointment. I was thinking of that teenage tv series "Dawson's Creek".

It is a interseting and unusual effective scene.
A lonely man.
And he is placed at the front edge in this Dio.
In the centre are his tool and stuff. Instead of a person or people as expectet.

Painting of the figure is great as the landscape too.
There is really not much but it is nicely done.

Are there not some Nugget in his pan?
Is - GUNMAN - (From member Andreas) his "friend"?

Very nice. I´ve base-coated the same figure a few months ago. This gold miner is still in the queue :-(

So small and full of content yet. Lovable vignette...
