Here is part 1 of these Russian Grenadiers! More to come I hope!

These weren't easy to paint. The sculpting isn't that good and some flash on bad placed and hard to remove!

I just had a look at the Austrians you mention, and you are right. The same pose as these Russians is missing a lot of details to. Most of the straps and belts you have to imagen just like I did for these Russians. And I really love these uniforms but it's a pity the moulds are so bad!

Hi Peter, on a table in massed formations these figures would work very well at pleasing any eye that is set upon them. Especially mine. Close up in your face photos are for picky purists that like counting buttons, boot laces, and well dotted tiny i`s. Opp`s A Daisy! i mean eyes. ______ !
Looking back at the painting work you`ve done over the past few months after becoming more active again,you my friend are producing some good quality work,and that includes these.

Agreed, a tough set to paint. I have both them and the Austrians and doubt that I will get any better results than yours. Thanks for posting.

A tricky set for sure but you've tackled them well. The end result is impressive with lots of great Nappie colours. Who doesn't love those gold grenadier caps? Think I'll steer clear of them until I'm up for a real challenge!

Now I am tempted to dig up my Austrians, but I painted some of them as Frenchies. Colour-sergeants or what they are called.

Dear Peter… you know me…

As far I know, this is the only set of Pavlosky Grenadiers on the market. But, with some head swap, I turned HAT’s set 1805 Russian Line Infantry into them. Consequently, I’m making a 24 figures grenadier battalion with just one repeated pose.

So, more poses yes. But better looking, I don’t think so…
