My long-term project "Berlin 1945"

Posted by chen on 23 Jul 2016, 14:58

I have a slowly going project aiming to depict the very last fightings among Berlin streets in 1945. For a long time only a small number of models have been finished, which is like what have happened to all my projects. Maybe I just need more time, or it is just that I have been too more ambitious in making plans than carrying them out. :P

Here you can see what I've done in the past few years, not very much of them...

Then some 11 SS Nordland infantry men.

And a IG18 gun team. I hope to depict that very gun that can be seen in the famous photo of a destroyed Sdkfz250 of the 11 SS Div, but am not sure about its colour scheme.

My god I love the way you paint WWII Germans. There are so many examples out there but your figs rise to the top.

Fantastic work Chen. Your brush work is incredible...you make these small scale figures look like 1/35th scale ones. Camouflage patterns are amazing. And tackling those Orion figures....you deserve a medal.
Good luck with the remainder of your grand project.
Bill.
