Brilliant work. Your choice and skill with the color really makes this set pop! I would however like to ask your overall opinion of the set. I have it and to be honest I am not that impressed. The accuracy may be present but to me there are too many faces missing or misshapen. There are random chunks of plastic at the heals of the riders and some of the swords are horribly produced. Perhaps it was just my set so I figured I would ask.

Bramble15,

It certainly leaves to be desired in terms of sculpting. Italeri and Hat have better figures on their respective sets, but I prefer bearskins and hussar uniforms for my Chasseurs, since I use them as Guard cavalry, so the only real option in plastics 1/72 is Revell.

@Rich, I painted that set (not that good as magtc, of course) and I must say that I agree with your opinion about quality of figures.

Great painting. I think you've done a great job depicting the proper shade of 'aurore' that usually seems to elude me.

Beautiful paintjob! If I may suggest I would paint the eyes of the horses dark brown or black (maybe with small dot of Iraqi sand) to give them a bit more character. With your paint skills it shouldn't be difficult...

Excellent brushwork!

I agree with Renik about the eyes of the horses. It would make a great difference! ;-)

Never really considered this detail, but now that you guys mentioned it, I do think it's a nice touch, indeed. Will do that!
