Mr Pommeroy is terribly afraid of snakes and he almost faints when he see a big green specimen crawling over the path. Unfortunately as he falls his hand land on a very brightly coloured frog. And he faints for real. Dr Brown, Kadjagoo and one of the guards, Orando, knows some tricks and manage to get him on his feet again.

I like your sceneries and the kind to present them to us... wonderful and impressive
... only one proposal to take more care of the different sizes of your figures.. it´s a pity that one or two figures are often to big besides the others. I know quite well this problem to find figures different sets or producers which fits really good together. Although 1/72 many sets doesn´t fit together - the best example: the different Italeri Napoleonic sets, but too some roman sets of Haet.

I have checked my pictures and this problem is very visible when I mix Preiser and Airfix with Strelets. And that was earlier. I don't think this is a big problem in the more recent scenes. Not more than we are of different size in real life too. And as I said, mixing Preiser, Airfix and Strelets LOOK pretty odd. Thanks for the comment. This will continue and I hope I don't mix too bad too often. :-)

Thanks! :-D The story continues. At last our friends are getting to the outskirts of the djungle! As everybody knows there is a small brook at the outskirts of every djungle to let you know you are now leaving the djungle. Much better than any signs!

I think our friends has enough of action for a while now. Poor Mr Pommeroy has been food-poisoned and frog-poisoned and Sir Toby and Mr Butterbur has been eaten by lions http://gataskog.blogspot.se/2012/02/wimoweh.html . That can be enough action for a while! But there will be more action in the future! And mutts!!! :-D

Gunnar, did i miss that episode of the Lions dinning out?
We have all waited years, and years while growing quite old for that part in The Expedition.
i even lost my hair, and my gold tooth!
Poor Toby, and his Friend , Gone!
i can hardly believe it.
i hope those Mutts Nuff & Spud escaped the carnage,
and that there was meat enough left over for those Lions & Cubs
to have Butterbur Sandwiches the following afternoon for tea. BB

Hello and Moinmoin, Mr. Susofrick,
what about getting some more speed into the expedition? Maybe the protagonists can travel from one to another to get photos in different contexts? For example right before my door there is a large beach with some very nice ostsee, baltic sea in the background. So the expedition can be both at the beach or wandering around in some kind of desert... Everytime the bunch travels somewhere one new character comes to them to get some more diversity into? I would start, if get asked...

Kind reagrds from baltic sea coast

In defence of the way Gunnar, writes and presents his fun time stuff,in`The Expedition!'
i would dare suggest researching some of those names, and in doing so you can get a fuller picture of the real fellows who explored the wild unknown regions of Africa.
Even the Mutts names Snuff & Spud are fun to look at.
And other musical stuff too.

Yes folks there is much more to Gunnar`s topic then meets the average eye,
because i feel strangely certain as we read in such an under-toon it is we that are sent hopping along on,` The Expedition', by dear Gunnar, and not just his wonderful painted figures.
It can be a trip of brilliance, if you tap a few fingers upon the keyboard. :-D BB

Yes i did follow the Link Gunnar to see those guys in the tall grass talking of sleeping lions.
What a fateful encounter, and an awful end to them.

Thanks for the comments. I start with the last, the lions ate their socks first. And, yes, you can guess! That's why these two fellows still are here. Poor poor lions! :( About the speed, well, I don't work that fast actually, so if there is more to happen there will be a longer wait. I can speed up a little, but then we'll have to wait longer for the enchanted forest and the desert. Or is it two 's' in desert??? Yes, looks much more delicious! Dessert! I am painting some stuff for the dessert ( :-D ) and it goes very slow. The enchanted forest I have to build the trees (no, Mr Cryns! They are NOT realistic, they are Games Workshop) and take pics. In the forest there will be a little action. So, do you want me to speed up this a little more? :-D

I agree with you absolutly on the expedition. Only the first wonderful pics have often some figures which doesn´t fit well with the others - examples the kneeling british colonial who seems to be a giant or the lute-player in the tavern. The scenes are wonderful and vivid, but one or two figures in problematic sizes can spoil a scene which it´s a pity for the whole work which you have done.

This is what's so nice with this forum: the members! Thanks a lot for your comments Sansovino! The first scenes were made before I really knew what to do with them. The lute-player from Strelets will probably not be seen here in this series again. Johannes of Nocomfort is not fun to listen to and, his lute is often out of tune and his joke are prehistoric at best. The kneeling brit from Esci can turn up again, but I don't know when. Probably at the treasure.
