Very good! These Italeri figures may be quite old and lack variety in the poses, but I still think they are sculpted very well and have nice details - which your paintjob highlights really well.

Hi,

That's just amazing !!!!!

You'll say I'm not very nice but you made the cavalrymen with axes breast plate in Steel color whereas it should be leather as plate armor didn't exist yet at this period.

Sorry, don't be crude with me, I didn't want to upset you!!!!! lol!!!!!!

Excellent painting work like we are used to see from you. I love it very much

@SKORRA: I can believe what you say about those breast plates but I can not see what your period judgement is based upon.
I think, like Romans and ancient Germans, Celts like Gauls made a development in armouring from bronze to iron.
Personally I would not paint all the helmets iron color since for many centuries bronze was common and still in use during the 1th milennium AD. But I do not see any reference to which century this belongs: 3th to 1th C. BC? Hannibal Barkas time? Julius Ceasars?

@ Mr Cryns :

Hi, I bought three or four years ago a book depicting the gaul warrior from Halstatt period to Roman conquest based on archeological researchs.

Apparently, Nobles and their guards got effectively Chainmails jackets but no steel breast plate. The ones who could eventually Leather breast plates or jackets should be the lower nobles or particulary rich citizens

The basic warriors hadn't even got helmets, and had to protect with their capes around the chest like Scottish Highlanders style.

About Bronze yes effectively it works for helmets or jewels.

But that's just to say something for .... Saying something .... as the figure's painting is quite ........ PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Splendid Painting and Basing on this Set. Well Done.

Another four pose set,but all is not lost.

Conversions made with simple slight twists to heads,
movement of arms and hands, and the exchange of weapons are possible. :sst: "That`s good."
That is if you can find glue to keep them on.
i personally never have, but perhaps Plumbers Glue for welding pipes together might do the job.

There are only two heads worth swopping over.
Cutting one figure in half both on foot and mounted can provide extra poses when both are swopped over. BB
