Nice figures Peter.
I am happy to see the King of Belgium gave you some spare time to paint some radical extremists again!
Beautyful painted in your personal style.
Especially I like the light shades of the donkeys bottomside.
I like your presentation on white, simple backgrounds.
And you did a proper job cutting the excess space away around the miniatures .
No attention payed to the base but just a proper painted stand.
I think some other members should take this as an example!

Hello Peter,

Very interesting. I think this is the first time that I see this set painted. Good job. Are you addicted to the Arabs like Konrad to the Romans..? :yeah: :-D ;-)

No I'm not. But I wanted to paint some figures that can be done quickly. This kind of army goes fast in between of other projects. :-D

Thanks for the kind words!

Kekso I am happy to read again and again at least one moderator (which is you) is guarding the QUALITY OF THE GALLERY PICTURES. You have a point here. I did not want to criticize Peter (because as soon as I do he will shower me with hatemail  ) but the sharpness is questionable and the balance between light in the background and light on the figures can be better. Peter only when looking at my screen under a certain angle I can see the proper body shades of these men.

I all thank you for the comments on the "FIGURES"!

For the comments on the "PHOTOGRAFY" you all can go to ****!!
I'm getting sick of all those comments about bad pictures! Don't you guys forget that this is a FIGURES forum and not one about how to make the best pictures. And Mr C do you think you own this forum, so you can tell us moderators what and how we have to do our work? Let me tell you one thing, if we really should do our work, you would have been banned allready! You are offending and attacking people who are much longer on this forum as you! If you don't agree with the posts that people make here, then I suggest that you start your own forum with your own rules. Then you can do and say whatever you want! And don't say that you only replied on what Dali has written! Very bad excuse! I found at least four topics where you just did the same thing as here in my topic.
And you don't have to tell people:
1. if the pictures aren't good don't post them (Elsi)
2. where they should post their pictures (Vellek)

I wrote this reaction in this topic because I started it myself and noone else. I can only say to all members keep posting the pictures of your work. And if they are good or bad I will allways support you in a positive way!

Like 'em!

I saw one of them Hadendowa warrior oval shields recently in a child's nursery in a country house. :eh: And I don't mean the 1/72 scale version - I mean the real thing! It was described as being made of elephant hide.

I do like how you're white clothing has turned out too.

The figures look good, you've done a great job on the all white clothing and the skin tones, I really like the bronze too. The lighter underside of the donkey does look good, I might have to do that next time I paint a mule or donkey.

Now! the only thing I'm feeling disgruntled about is the fact that I missed International Cinnamon Bun Day. How did that happen.

I just look at the nice paint Dervish from Peter.
And I read only cross some of the comments.
I am very sorry if I do something wrong now to someone.
But I start to laugh as I read some of the comments.
Again I do not want to hurt (do to the fact that my pic are too not the best) but I like some funny statements.

:yeah: for the member of these Forum.

British soldiers referred to them as Fuzzy Wuzzy`s ,as indeed us Brits still do.

Yes the Elephant hide for sure I`ve actually held one, way back in 1971.....No not 1871.
but i am no critic ,it is the artist concerned who decides best what colours to use.
As for me i see them as terrific painted figures Peter  _______Presentation i love it.

As for using a camera. i`m having trouble with a new one,
for some reason odd pictures are going onto tiny pics upside down. Bah! Humbug! :-D BB
