Napoleonic 8th Polish Lancers

Dear Benno's Community, I send here with my first contribution consisting of the 8th Polish Lancers. I had to modify the Esci set using parts from Waterloo 1815 and Zvezda. I hope you like it.

Sorry to say I missed these first time round. They look Splendid!

I can remember struggling with this box set. Fixing the Horses with make shift rains, and after every glue I tried failed to stick them to their bases I resorted to overkill method with a hot soldering iron.

" Yip! BB, set off all the House Alarms!"

They were the first ever Napoleonic Cavalry that I tried in vain to paint Donkeys years ago.

This is the first time I see that Prussian dragoon-set painted! Oh, it was the Polish guys we were talking about? Sorry! Bah! I like the Polish lancers. A bit polished (now I have said it ), but great. But I am very happy to see your Prussians! And in comparison with the lancers!

You are quite right about the finishing of the Polish. When I bought the spray it was supposed to result in a satin finish: in reality it was glossy.... Never mind. If you what to see the Prussian dragoons, I've got some pictures of them that I can submit. They have the same finishing. The set, actually was not one of the best of Italeri (Plasticsoldier Review was not very positive with it) : the horses were hopeless and I had to work on them with a careful refinement of their muscles in order to make them at least acceptable.
