Fantastic painting and great visual appeal. I think the Call to Arms guys are great but too small. Here they look super.

That's a nice bunch of figures. Except from the ridiculous drummer with his little tiny drum at that guy with that crappy small flag.

Siempre es un placer ver los conjuntos que salen de tu pintura y trabajo.
It is always a pleasure to see the sets of figures that come out of your art.

Fantastic work.

A lot of work to paint.
The few different color of cloth and uniform are great.

I think the only set missing is the old Airfix-set. But I don't think you need them. It looks perfectly great!

Fabulous painting, good work on the motley appearance and great arrangement of the figures too. Your stands are full of life, I can almost hear the Rebel Yell.

Hi friends, many thanks for your nice and encouraging comments...

I feel really sorry because I had no time to add any text when posting the pictures, but I did it in my lunch break and I had to go back to work.

Susofrick is right, and the only missing sets are the old Airfix. Funny enough, the ACW Airfix sets were the first figures I’ve painted on my life, back on the early 70’s... I remember a shelf on my kid’s room fully devoted to an ACW battle, with not only the Airfix ACW sets, but with some WW2 Japanese and Australians, French Foreign Legion and WW1 Americans painted accordingly, in grey or blue, to increase the variety.

So, the figures used here are from ACTA, ESCI, IMEX, Italeri and Revell. At this moment, I’m painting a Confederate volunteers unit that includes two more sets that I think are perfectly usable for ACW (we’re talking 1/72 scale… :-D ) but I’ve not seen them painted this way before. You’ll find out soon if I’m making a big mistake or not… 8)

C M DODSON, yes you’re absolutely right: the ACTA figures are too small (but not as small as some of the Union figures, totally unusable). I’ve supplemented their bases to make heads almost levelled with the other figures and mixed them with the appropriate poses in order to hide their real size.

Zed1, you`re right: wrong drum and flag sizes are a repeated problem on most of 1/72 sets. Flags maybe difficult to make big enough on plastic, but drums… :eh: But I’m too lazy to replace them…

Konrad and Peter…

Many thanks to all of you for your time…
