Saxon Leib Grenadier Garde.

Dear all,
This is the Saxon Leib Grenadier Garde battalion. I've modified the Esci /Italeri French Garde set, replacing the heads with those of the French infantry. They wore an long tailed "habit" with lapels closed to the waist. This is why I had to hide the waistcoat with milliput. It is worth noting the colours worn by the drummer. There are a few inaccuracies but I hope that you will forgive me.
Giovanni.

Well - it is, overall, a very uncommon subject. Especially because of the differences from the standard French uniform, people seldomly make convertions for diplaying Saxon units. I like that.

Love to see unusual Napoleonic units like these. I do like your painting style, very neat and without the colours being too clean. I'm no expert on conversions but these look very good to me.
