Viking Wrestlers

Hiho.

Another slightly mouldy KAMAR-Set finally painted.
I know they are not the best figures ever made, but I think the only ones in 72nd scale which depict this certain Viking Hobby and may fit well into a little village scenery:

Susofrick is that right, do you guys wrestle a lot over there?

Andi thanks for posting this old set. For me as a beginner it is very interesting (and encouraging ;-) ) to see some early sculpts from your hand. To me this still looks very good: good enough to add to every Viking collection I think.

I really really love those two guys starting to fight, especially the one getting so low with his upper body.

All spectators made a fist and holding it up. Is that part of the game?

Thanks Mr. Cryns. The fists are my inept interpretation for applause/support for the favorite wrestler. ;-)

Indeed wonderful figures which I love. Congratulations Andi, your world of vikings is in an impressive expansion and presents more and more the everyday life of this period - and offers us the possiblity to wonderful vivid dioramas - thanks a lot for your broad range of interactions...

The figs are very well painted, and the "position" of the wrestlers are very reallistic. The sculptor could capture these moment in wich the figters are "studyng" the rival and best way to take him.
Very nice.
I think that I need some jars of mead th apreciate it better :occasion:

Ah, yes! I do wrestle with my dog. He wins! Tried mead once, it was horrible! Tasted like extra sweet cider sweetened with A LOT of honey! Nah, gimme an ale!

I let the ale for the braves, in vikings times Ale had not additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide, ...like cat piss. Cider will be ok for me.
I like the pants and boots of the viking in the rigth. I dont know too much abouth vikings but these kind of clothing was more frecuente between the vikings who rides the baltic, isn't?
