You're "killing" us Luis but please don't stop. This is magnificent.
Although I still don't understand how do you achieve such great matte finish :eh:

You are some kind of genius Luis. This is too good to be true. I am speechless. I even noticed you made one Mamelouk has stripes on sleeves of his clothe which show how you studied this subject into detail since rarely people know such a small details about Oriental clothing when painting Mamluokes. Than the paintjob, it has that elegant effect similar to objects made of silver. The composition is brilliant, the number of soldiers, the planning, the earth effect. And every little detail is painted with exact precise. Truly like and old paintings of old masters. Funny thing is I ordered a box of Dragoons and Mamlouks, so seeing your work on them motivates me to give my best... :-D

My first thought was....the best painted figures I have ever seen in our scale, breath taking detail, the flat matt finish, the effects on the cannon, the seamless conversions, the Revell grenadiers are truly stunning, the flesh tone`s are just right, I could go on and on, a master class, take a bow sir, outstanding.

Well done again Luis, a masterclass in painting with lots going on.

There is a massive amount of time and effort on display for all to see here.

Personally, I do not like the Italieri horse team with its fantasy limber and Artillery drivers being flogged by their own gunners, a bizarre arrangement at best.

The Guard artillerymen will need retraining, if they survive the blast, but all in all a magnificent effort.

My painting is rubbish but a tutorial by yourself would be an enormous help and a Bennoes success I am sure.

Best wishes,

Chris

Be aware that I spent hours scrolling up and down, down and up, again and again. Take it as my best compliment for this new masterpiece of yours. Now a question: what colors and varnish do you use to get that superb matt effect on the figures? Thanks

I guess he uses oil paints, and since they dry slow, I can only imagine how much patience he had while doing it.
This can only go in two ways in my case, me quit the job as painter since I can not achieve this level of painting, or motivating me to strive toward something like this. And I will chose this second option. Plus he gave me a full new perspective of what should I make in dioramas in future.

Thank you very much to all.
I cost me a year to make the scene.
Never paint figures in series.
I use a hair dryer to dry paint and get finish matte
Always use Vallejo paints and Andrea paints . I never use matt varnish .

Truly breathtaking Luis! I honestly don't know if anyone is capable of producing better work in 1/72 than this!
Sublime is what i can best find to do justice to your art!
Thank you for such amazing inspiration! As a Napoleonic fan whose favourite scale is 1/72 you have to my mind raised the bar to a new level!

It's a word used too lightly, but in this instance I think it's appropriate:

Awesome!

Can only agree with the others! But the French staff must look out, I think I spotted some Prussian Cuirassiers among the officers! Spies? ;-)

@Luis- Do you have photos of work in progress, how you made this diorama. Also I think we would like to hear everything, not just how you painted and made diorama, but the process of birth of entire concept in your mind, how you came to idea, how you made terrain and what was the inspiration. It is very important for me to learn how to think in this direction, what is the motivation and inspiration. To think big like artist. :-D

I sorry but i do not have work photos in the process . This is a scene of 2008 .
It was my last work in 1/72 .
When a think of a new project inspiration comes to me .
Then I report on the books , internet to create a very realistic scene .
I have 3 projects in 28mm .
In 2017 i will present 5 scenes in the AMT of Torrent .
