Splendid Painting. I adore them all.
Great Stuff.
The complete absence of the bow was a huge disappointment for me in this boxed set.
However there are six poses that are quite easy to convert into Indians with this
traditional silent weapon that would greatly improve on the impact of this set.

Thank you for the compliments; that said, I believe we can always improve ourselves using other people's criticism. Hence my request.
There are a lot of people here who have better skills than mine, and so I figure they can teach me a trick or two.

Actually, the figures are like this, straight out of the box, as if the feet were sunk into the base.





Can't imagine why, but I believe this set was one of the last offerings Italeri put on the market before the company folded in the 90's.
Their last figurines were almost systematically too tall for the scale, no matter from what period, or what army it was.
All I know is that, even with sunken feet, these are almost 28 mm: I doubt natives in the 18th-19th century were THAT tall.
So much so, I will have to use a bit of "forced perspective" to use them in a dio with figurines from other makers.

Those are extremely impressive Salaberry. I usually do not favor figures that are very colorful, but yours are quite simply feasts for the eye. One thing I like about them is that no matter how close I zoom in, what I see is still fantastic. Have you used Vallejo Acrylics for these Native Indian warriors?

It is incredible that such big companies sent out such faults like these sunken feed into the base.
The problem is that these figures need no assembling. If it is a kit with a fault like this. They will fix the mold in a few days, weeks.

Yes, you are right. I get some WWII set. This is very pity. The mold are very good. But unusable to use it beside Cäsar figures for example. Also beside a vehicle they are to huge too.

And to answer you, no, I don't use Vallejo paint.
I use plain old commercial (Ceramcoat/Americana or Golden artists' colors) acrylic paint: the reason is that I also paint on wood pannels in another hobby of mine, and so cover rather large surfaces. Vallejo would be too expensive for both usage.
For figurines, I have my own version of a wet palette, and work over many diluted coats (a figure can take me up to four hours - but, granted, I'm slower than most).
I also use oils here and there, mostly for metal.
