Defenders of the Empire

Posted by PhilC on 27 Feb 2017, 19:03

Hi everyone!

I would like to show you the last minis I painted these days, the defenders of the Empire... wait, what empire ? there are so many of them... Star Wars Empire, Premier Empire... ? No, this time, it is about the Empire of the Old World, a Fantasy world full of Orcs, Dwarves, Elves... and Men.

In this fantasy world, the Empire looks is inspired by the European Renaissance states and kingdoms (or empire), so its defenders, some Longswords, look like Landsknechts - for those who know the world of Warhammer, you may recognize the colors of the Province names Talabecland.

These troops are veterans who saw a lot of action in many conflicts, and they are required whenever the situation is particularly perilous. In the pictures below, you can see them defending a village against frightening invaders.

At the beginning, everything is quiet. Too quiet... not even a single goat.

But soon, the Longswords are surrounded by Undead ! There is some dark magic here

One of them is a Vampire Count! No wonder there are so many hungry zombies

The undead are too many, the Longswords can not stand. May their sacrifice not be in vain.

The Longswords are landsknechts by Redbox and Dark Dream Studio.
Skeletons, zombies and vampire Lord by Caesar.
Zombie dogs from the Zombies!!! boardgame.
