Thanks for sharing your valuable and very interesting information, though I understand its difficult to judge who is the sculptor of which figure.

As far as I know the first figure is from another set. Wolfgang sculped the 4 mini sets, that came out around 2003. His next masters are more complex. And the original ones from the mini sets have been cut and smoothed by the producer, to make the moulds. Shit happens....

This is painful to read but at the same time does not surprise me completely.
Isn't this a bit like how it happens in the tv and film industry?
Can you tel us why it was cut and smoothed by the producer?

It has been years ago that I had contact with Wolfgang. But as far as I know he made the figures so complex that the mold maker was not able to produce the figures with all the details. But maybe I am not able to produce the correct facts after more than 10 years.

Wow! I like the soft and delicate shades of colour too,
but I see them very different then most viewing this topic.
However with my limited colour spectrum I can still appreciate them very well.

Interesting point raised by Jan,( Mabo ) The complexities of Patterned Masters is something that often causes problems with those in the mould producing business,and often is the case detail work is therefore lost. Mainly I refer of course to steel or alloy moulds for plastic moulding machines,but most certainly using rubber to make spinning moulds has its problems too. BB
