I remember my first batch of Zvezda figures...Swedish infantry back in 2007... That was a great year... What made me happy also was the back of the box with picture of painted figures. I painted them with enamel paints, and kept them in side of box. But soon I discovered they begun to crack on places like bayonets and rifles. Anyway great painted batch of figures, can't wait to see your Poltava project finished...

Excellent work! The cavalry in grey - are they Finnish colours?

Yes, the Finnish regiment had originally in most cases grey coats. However it seems that around 1706-1708 all the cavalry switched to the standard blue coat. I painted them grey to add variety; here for instance the Nylands och Tavahustas regiment:

It is the diverse uniform changes of this period that brings much pleasure for those that hobby-wise paint them,and also for others that just enjoy looking at them.
