Vienna 1683 - Take their position

Posted by krugi3 on 18 Apr 2017, 09:55

Hello!

Part 5 of my Vienna 1683 series is finished. This time Polish infantry storms an Ottoman defensive line.

The figures are from Zvezda and Orion, the tree is scratch out of wire.

Dear Krugi,

My compliments to this little diorama!

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

The best one I have seen from your hand so far.
In the pictures it looks so big and it turns out to be so small

Great, great work on the flags, not only the patterns but even the bullet holes are terrific.
Painting is nice all over.
And I love your tree: very lively. Limited foliage makes the shape of trunk and branches come alive.
(a minor remark: the twined iron wire is still clearly visible and could use a little more covering up with putty before painting: but thats for your next tree)

I like this a lot. Great painting on the figures, great scenery and that first shot shows a really dynamic composition. Nice backgrounds for the photos too.

Very colorful uniforms, attractive flags and seemless scenery add to the mix to create quite a nice dio. I examined the tree closely but did not see any areas of exposed wire. Did you use a similar technique to create it as the one demonstrated last year at FIGZ by Mr. Cryns?

I will add me in the row of WOW!
The one move on the other stay. Well done. Dirt, dust from running on the blue clothes. Also both great done flag underline each situation very well. And the red white is with damage. There is dynamic on to the wall.
Painting is nice too. As the tree and base.
Nice close pic.

Once again a very nice work from your Vienna series! And one can see once again how a clever choice of background photography can add the necessary depth even to a small vignette, yielding a realistic impression.
