Thank you to Ray.Caruana and Dad`s Army to make it possible that Udospreng get online.

@udospren
Your figure painting is in a class of it´s own.

What I really like to see are pic of your work on progress.
Start from the configuration of the figure.
To the last brush stroke.
That would be very kind of you.

Stop! I can't take it anymore! Not at this rate - I need to catch my breath between shots. Rarely, if ever, do 1/72 figures stand up to close ups like this and still look so amazing.

Endlich! Udo ist unter uns! Herzlichen Willkommen Udo! Du bisst mein favoriete 1/72 Figuren Mahler. Und mann hat uns erzählt dass dein englischen Sprache beinah so schwach ist als mein Französisch  Kein Problem.

Translation for the non-Germans:

Finally! Udo is amongst us! Welcome Udo! You are my favorite 1/72 figures painter They told us your knowledge of the English language is almost as poor as my French is. Don't worry.

Udo--

I want to improve my painting skills and you are about the best! So I have a lot of questions. I won't hit you with them all at once, though. :D

Certainly this forum gets more and more rich with experienced modelers, and now we have a may be one of the best of the painters en the scale. Really is a pleasure to enter this forum and see the work and opinions of experts.
Udo ... the truth is I do not know if I ask about your techniques or ask for an autograph :-D .

It seems that you work with the zenith light technique, I've seen very few that could get this on the scale.

My question is how do you prepare the figures before you paint them, you modify them?

Do you use photo-editing software to make your backgrounds so utterly black?

Top class work Udo. I will be studying this figure, especially the face, at great length.

Wow this looks wonderful.
Thanks for posting Ray!
And very remarkable to see some minor changes.
Udo did you work on the face again?

To me it seems like the Lee Marvin face with the long Scandinavian upper lip (skin between nose and mouth) has now turned into a mustache and thus creating a much better looking gentleman' s face.

Well done Udo!
