Hi,
I'm not an expert of Napoleonic period but I try do my best. There are my work for HaT's test painting British heavy/light dragoons.

Excellent painting style! I enlarged my screen ,and each and every one of horse and riders look Splendid.

Good looking figures, very nice painting and basing.

Love the horse with the blaze and socks. Also I really like the posing together of the two light dragoons with the firearms. They look like they're scouting ahead of the army, an important part of the light cavalry's job.

Really nice work on those. I agree that your horses came out really well. The riders are well done, too. What was your technique for the cavalrymen's faces?

Very nice and useful figures, but: are they in 1/72?
I read they aren't! A mistake in the difficult to control production line I thought I've read.
Is this 1/72??

I also read somewhere that they're only being produced in 28mm (a HUGE let down, I can tell you! ). Did you manage to score some pre-production test sprues in 1/72?

Yes this is pre-production test sprue. In my opinion they are bigger than other Hat's cavalry. They are very close to Waterloo' s . About 26 mm. I asked Hat's Staff about it. They told me they work on it.

Yes they are on the HAT site as 28mm figures.

Oh dear! more to add to the wish list (if produced in 1.72). The stash is never going to decrease.

I second what has already been said, those horses are very nicely painted.

Not sure if everyone knows but these are being released as 28mm not 1/72. There was a fascinating thread on the hat official forum where hat basically admitted that the producer screwed up the size, hat was going to cancel then but they were close enough to 28mm for them to be released as such.

The hat people said they will not use that production company anymore and it seems as though they are shifting to digital design for new releases, afaik the crowd funded zulus will be the first of the new production method sets and those look promising. But it means this set will not be produced in 1/72 which is a real shame as they would have complemented the excellent hat British peninsula Infantry set.

I have lots of 28mm Napoleonics so will order some. I`m sure war gamers will like a few of these on many a table top of 28mm.
On the plus side these will be made of plastic and not rubber! BB

That would be the impossible to get anymore hat British peninsular infantry set. Big sigh!

I checked it on the new Hat forum: it's confirmed by the Hat administrator himself. So no 1/72 release for these sets in the near future....

Probably the same scaling cock-up that resulted in HaT's Huns being closer to 28mm than 1/72, although they haven't confessed over that one.

Hat has got a lot of credits, to me at least. Especially as they are making a restart with new owners.
But to me as a costumer I will buy every good set as long as it is easy available for realistic prices. And perhaps I'm too lazy for the crowdfunding.
For the napoleonic Prussians I wait until they hit the normal market. Plus Strelets seems to have plans with the Waterloo campaign; I have seen some Prussians and read some remarks about them. So I'll wait and see what happens. Voilà.
