I finished these up as part of my Tudela project. The 15th Chasseurs a Cheval were part of Colbert's light cavalry brigade and saw action throughout Spain.
I wanted more of a campaign look for these, so I did a few alterations to the solid but not particularly spectacular Hat Chasseurs (only two horse poses, for instance). There was no command figure, so I did a head swap to put him in a bearskin with colpak, as was often the case, and added a sash and epaulettes. Also no dedicated trumpeter was supplied although they do give a trumpet, so a bit of alteration there (removal of carbine, added a cord). Also put some of the shakos with covers, trimmed back some plumes, and, I thought most successfully, put a number of the figures in the trooper overalls. Overall the result was so-so, but a lot of fun in the process.
So that pretty well concludes the French, other than some command stands and maybe a few more limbers. The Spanish are close to completion as well, only 30 or more figures to do - I'll share the final results when they are done.
