My Spanish Army

Posted by Bill Slavin on 08 Sep 2017, 21:12

Having finished painting what I need (in numbers) to fight the Tudela scenario I have waiting in the wings, I indulged in the indisputable pleasure of putting all of my Spanish toys on the table at once. Here are a few shots but the full breakdown unit by unit can be found here on my blog;

Wonderfully put together Bill. It takes lots of time and effort painting and building up numbers as you have.
i have personally found such painting in numbers quite a lonely, but oddly a peaceful occupation occurring mostly at night. A Night Owl comes to mind. Yes most certainly that.

Back to your figure painting,it is all to my liking , and is in total a fine display of Spanish toy soldiers.
Your Diorama,to set us positive upon your scene is magic to my eyes,and works very well.
I half expect that hero of fiction Richard Sharp, to pop up with his chosen men.
Bravo Bill, i love it all. :thumbup: ___ :sst: "more hat figures please. perhaps the french?" The little button asked,for surely he likes the fun time glory of it all. You have indeed waited in the wings, so welcome Bill, your activity here has most certainly begun.
Feel free to comment ,and join in on any topic you yourself wish. Greetings BB

Fantastic, great!

Do I stay alone in the font of these huge amount of nice painted soldiers ?
My stomach tell me that this concentration of troops do not look like grouping for modeling !
:shock:

Destined to do battle on a table, Wiking. Just a few more French limbers to paint.

Thanks, BB and all.
A French army of similar proportions is almost done. Then they will meet on the fields of Tudela, and hopefully the Spanish will improve on their historic record. I will keep you informed of the outcome.

A huge an amazing work, Bill, by the number of figures, the quality of painting and the historical accuracy. I love it. :thumbup:
