Connaught Rangers 88th Foot Regiment

Posted by Bill Slavin on 12 Nov 2017, 16:49

Ever since I mistakenly painted my Spanish Swiss regiment with red coats and then had to laboriously repaint them all blue I've been itching to try my hand at some real red coats. Here are some photos of the first of my British Peninsular army, Italeri 1815 British converted to Peninsular. If you want to read the whole sorry tale of how I wandered down this particular rabbit hole, you can check out my blog here:http://tinywarsplayedindoors.blogspot.ca/2017/11/connaught-rangers-88th-foot-regiment-or.html

Here are some pictures of the final results.

A very nice depiction worthy of a very fine regiment. Lovely painting.

I always think that sergeant figure would be a great pose for an officer but is a bit too laconic for an NCO. He does make a very good ensign though.
