Made: 2009

Tankette: DOC Models
Panzer I: Attack
Sdkfz 223: ICM
Palms: Preiser

Figures: Hasegawa, Esci, Preiser, Revell

Note: The Sdkfz 223 was never delivered to China, to my knowledge. Only Sdkfz 222 and 221. The 221 is now available from FTF. So during the build I chose an not entirely correct Sdkfz 223.
I was really surprised to read several years back that the Chinese army get some Sdkfz 101, Tank I.

And the battle was in the winter time.
Please be kind with me and ignore this incorrectness.

Wrong tank type, summer not winter, you are forgiven as this is really different and a lovely composition.

Just a suggestion but with the background 'sky', try wrapping it around the subject rather than underneath like you have. To support the paper I use a box or two to keep it in place if necessary.

Best wishes,

Chris

The diorama is very well done Wiking, as always.
Where did you get the badge of the Chinese army that you put in the 221?.
It is one of the few times I see that you put dead soldiers in a diorama and you have managed to represent very well the drama and savagery with which that battle occurred (a prologue to what will happen later in the city).
As I can remember, Germany not only provided the Chinese with equipping, but also was in charge of supervising the reform of the Chinese army of that time, in which there were elite troops trained by Germans, who wore the German uniform almost complete, these troops delayed the Japanese invasion .
Great work, from the modelism to the history. :yeah:
