It doesn't look hot there. Why do they need the fan? :eh:

This is for cutting the too long grass. So the skier do not trip.

Thank you for your nice words.

That you describe it as I try to do so is great.
Finally I thought that the moving snowflakes will be seen as smoke of the engine.
The engine is in the front section with the exhausts.

The front cover of the very first turret gun, the red moving flag, the blow up cover of the middle turret, the lost cover of the last turret with the directing backward cable and the snowflakes should suggest "in move".

Very nice scene. Terrific weathering on the train and that snow mobile is a really fun looking thing (as long as you're on the right side of the machine gun).

There is one very realistic detail I have to mention, I tried skiing once and that is EXACTLY what it looks like.

Love the weathering of the train, and above all, the skiing machine with the aeroplane propeller in its side, excellent!!
It somehow reminds me of the adventures of Corto Maltese in Siberia, with the armoured trains...

Thank you PhilC.

I did not know Corto Maltese till I read your post and the use of google.
In France comic are far more popular as here in Germany.

Your intention seems to be right.
For me it was not a comic.
A film, Doctor Zhivago ( Dr. Schiwago). There was a short scene with a short, fast running train. And red waving flags. That was the input for my red moving flag.
Maybe not totally historical correct for WWII.

Oops ..... was probably a slippery spot!?!? Now he lies there, the poor soldier. And that in front of so many spectators. How embarrassing. That's why I do not ski. ;-)

Wiking, again a fantastic diorama !!!! As always there is so much to admire. The train is of course the eye-catcher. The winter camouflage paint is very well done. Washy, dirty, muddy .... like real! :yeah:

I like the driver of the snowmobile. The face is fantastic. You can see how cold it is. The red nose and the red cheeks show it to us.

This diorama is a work of art !!!!
