Fantastic metal effects there! What type of paint did you use for the helmets and armor?

Hi Bluefalchion!
I used old (and my favorite metalizers) Citadel Boltgun Metal as primer, next I washed armor with watered -down Vallejo Game Ink Black 72.094. When it dried, I repainted all areas with BGM again, leaving black in recesses, then highlighted armor parts with Citadel Chainmail. As a final touch I added few blue glazes made from diluted Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue 70.899 to imitate sky reflection in polished steel ( I also tried different khaki-brown glazes to imitate earth , but it's overkill, IMO it can ruin good looking metal effect)
You can use Vallejo Model Air metalizers instead of old Citadels - 71.072 Gun Metal & 71.065 Steel (mixed with 71.064 Chrome to achieve brighter shade)
BTW, I repainted red trim on Fleur-de-lis flag, I hate white spots of dried Matt Varnish...
