Strelets Arab Foot Rebels

These are the really lovely Strelets Arab Revolt Foot Rebels. They have plenty of character and go well with their cavalry

The reason for the long break in posting any new painting was the loss of my laptop due to a corrupt disk drive and its replacement under warranty with a new drive so it took quite a while to sort out and get all my files reloaded from backup (Hurrah, I remembered before going on holiday)

Pity that there are no close ups because it seems that figures are nicely painted.

Really nice painting and a good selection of clothing colours. I really like the gibber plain bases too.

These are very characterful, dynamic figures and I think the subject is really suited to Strelets style. Your painting has them bursting with life, someone's not going to enjoy their train ride. :-)

I agree with all others: wonderful painted arabs - a good choice of colors too!
Do you use them for wargames?

Yes definitely for wargames use, they will probably be used for a WW1 variant of the Battlegroup rules

Excellent paintjob on this beautiful Strelets figures. :yeah:
They surely are an impressive sight on your table and look as if they won't take prisoners when ambushing an ottoman train. ;-)

Thanks to Strelets the Middle Eastern theatre of WWI received a significant push in 1/72 recently.
Hope they will expand this range with further sets, especially Turkish artillery & generic infantry to replace the inferior Hät figures.
First of all, we will get plenty of corresponding camelry sets now. :xd:
